Workforce Development

ATSI works every day to build the nation’s workforce by helping young adults prepare for and find a job. Currently, ATSI offers training in more than 15 career areas, such as business technology, health occupations and facilities maintenance, and tailors its career trainingprograms to meet individual employers’ needs, as well as the demands of the labor market.

 

Not only does ATSI create and implement career training programs, it also helps individuals find good-paying jobs.

Currently ATSI helps nearly 40 young adults enter the workforce each month. Its efforts are concentrated in Tennessee and Mississippi, two of the six states with the highest unemployment rates. In addition to helping individuals find a job, ATSI provides counseling, finance and social services to help them secure housing, locate transportation and enroll in support services, such as child care, if needed.
