Essential Responsibilities

Responsible for dormitory management and dorm culture and provision of guidance to students to ensure independent living skills, positive group living relations, and achievement in the program.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in human services or related field and one year experience in counseling, social work rehabilitation, or vocational guidance. Two years of college course in counseling, psychology, or social work area may be substitutes for degree requirement.Considerable knowledge of personal computer use including word-processing and email. Unless waived by management, a valid Florida driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required. May be required to obtain commercial driver's license (CDL). Provide guidance for students to achiever a positive attitude and proper behavior in dormitory living situation and to accomplish their goals and objectives. Determine, recommend, and arrange student visits to career counselor. Monitor dormitories and center as required to ensure safety and proper behavior of students. Resolve potential or occurring problems. Assist with recreational activities for students on-and-off-center. Transport students to and from recreational functions, airport or bus stations as required. Prepare logs, reports, pass list and other administrative correspondence relating to students. Recommend or requistion supplied to provide needs for dorm living and safety of students. Conduct independent living group sessions in accordance with the schedule. As assigned, participate in and conduct career preparation activities.

Essential Responsibilities

Reports to the Recreation Supervisor. Responsible for monitoring and directing students engaged in center-sponsored recreational activities on and off-center in compliance with government and management directives. Assist the Supervisor, recreation, in planning, implementing and coordinating a comprehensive and diversified program which will attract voluntary participation. Organize and supervise student participation in a variety of recreation activities. Coordinate recreation activities that promote independent living and continuous learning. Seek and promote opportunities for the center and community to participate together in recreational activities. Conduct recreation and avocation classes and activities. Chaperone students to center recreation functions. Conduct and track water safety training or all students as assigned. Promote the development of positive social skills through modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when in appropriate behaviors are observed. Maintain accountability of students and property; adhere to safety practices.

 

Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent to two years recreation experience. Considerable knowledge of personal computer use including word-processing and email. Information technology capability. Unless waived by management, a valid Florida driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required. May be required to obtain commercial driver's license (CDL).

Essential Responsibilities Reports to the Manager, Admissions, Records and Career Transition Services. Provides quality graduate and former enrollee services to facilitate transitional needs support, job placement military enlistment or advanced education. Workes with center staff and CTS providers to facilitate a smooth transition from career development to career transition. Provides center follow up services to assigned graduates and former enrollees. Provide ongoing case management for assigned graduates and former enrollees. Responsible for career development activities during the on-center career development and career transition period. Prepare and deliver CTS presentation and indoctrination for new Job Corps enrollees during career preparation.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Four year degree in education, social services, human resources, public relations, computer science or related field. Two years of directly related experience in youth programs or public affairs. Relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of education requirements. Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills. Considerable knowledge of personal computer use including word-processing and email. Demonstrated skills in computer applications, spreadsheets, and database management. Unless waived by management, a valid State of Florida driver license and acceptable driving record is required.
